Retired or Semi-retired and looking for the opportunity to meet with similar interesting people?

Bath Probus Club welcomes men and women who enjoy meeting with like-minded people in a warm and welcoming environment. Members come from a variety of backgrounds; many having had roles of responsibility in their past fields of employment.

The Club meets on the second Thursday of each month and the meeting starts with drinks and chat at 11.15, usually followed by a guest speaker and then a two-course lunch, all in the elegant setting of the Bath and County Club on Queen’s Parade, Bath.

The membership annual fee will be £30 from January 1st 2025 which is set at a level that enables the Club to contribute to the fees of guest speakers. The cost of lunch is currently £24. Members purchase their own drinks at the bar.

The Global Probus organisation offers free membership and is available to all members on an individual basis.

Some comments of current members:

·       ‘I have recently joined Bath Probus Club and have had a very positive experience as I have found that new members, both male and female, are warmly welcomed. The venue is really delightful and morning coffee/drinks, followed by a talk and lunch are held in an elegant suite of rooms’

·       ‘I enjoy meeting interesting people’

·       'Welcome,' exclaimed the Chairman and shook me warmly by the hand. Other members nodded greetings as we settled down for the talk. The Speaker was wise and witty. At lunch the guests either side of me had much to tell me as we ate our poached salmon and dessert. Did I enjoy myself? Yes, I did and I look forward to the meetings every month’

·       Friendly, fun and very companiable

·       In talking about Probus over many years I have very often said that for me a key feature has been meeting interesting people
